Frankfurt am Main, April 20, 2026. EL AL continues to expand its route network with the introduction of a new nonstop flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina, scheduled to commence in November. This represents a significant strategic step, as it marks the airline's return to a South American destination for the first time since 2011 and its first-ever nonstop connection to the furthest destination in its network.

The airline will operate two weekly flights using its new and modern Dreamliner aircraft, offering three service classes: Economy, Premium, and Business. The flight time is expected to be approximately 16.5 hours on the outbound flight from Israel and about 15.5 hours on the return flight to Israel. Ticket sales for this route are scheduled to begin in May.

Through its codeshare partnership with Aerolíneas Argentinas and other partners, EL AL will offer connecting flights from Buenos Aires to destinations throughout Argentina and across the continent. This complements existing connections to other South American destinations via various European hubs.

The launch represents an important step in strengthening relations between Israel and South America, particularly with the Jewish community in Argentina, the fifth largest worldwide and currently the largest Jewish community without nonstop flights to Israel. The new nonstop flight aims to deepen the connection with this community while strengthening tourism, economy, and diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Furthermore, the nonstop flight responds to increased demand for Argentina and South America as a whole – a trend that has intensified since October 7 among both Israeli travelers and businesses in the region.

The expansion of EL AL's route network is made possible by the growth of its aircraft fleet as part of its fleet renewal program and is a central component of the airline's long-term strategy to expand its operations and strengthen its global presence.
