Comfortable to Corsica: Moby Lines Resumes Service to Bastia
Budenheim, May 6, 2026 – Just in time for early summer, Moby Lines is opening the 2026 Corsica season. From May, proven routes from Genoa and Livorno will once again connect the Italian mainland with the "Island of Beauty".
The route between Genoa and the Corsican capital Bastia is one of the most popular Mediterranean connections. From May 23 to September 28, 2026, Moby Lines will serve this route four times a week – on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Moby Aki and Moby Wonder will be deployed. The ships depart Genoa at 08:45 AM and leave Bastia at 3:00 PM for the return journey.
The Moby Aki and Moby Wonder offer the usual high level of Moby comfort: free Wi-Fi, Sky TV even at sea, and a gastronomic offering that leaves nothing to be desired – from the upscale à la carte restaurant to the self-service buffet and pizzeria, to an aperitif on deck, always with a focus on fresh, light, and seasonal cuisine. Those who want to enjoy the crossing in a particularly relaxed way can retreat to one of the comfortable cabins and watch the Mediterranean pass by.
The connections between Livorno and Bastia will start as early as May 14. Initially, the route will begin with four departures per week and will be expanded to daily sailings from the end of May. The Moby Kiss will be used on this route. Departures from Livorno always start at 08:00 AM, with the return journey at 2:00 PM.
Two Islands, One Journey
Moby Lines makes it possible to discover Sardinia and Corsica on one trip. The Livorno – Olbia connection opens up Sardinia with two daily departures and can be ideally combined with the Corsica routes. Between Sardinia and Corsica, you can use the connection between Santa Teresa Gallura in northern Sardinia and Bonifacio in southern Corsica: With several daily departures, this short, scenically impressive crossing can be flexibly integrated into any travel plan.
