EL AL Inaugurates World's Largest and Most Advanced Kosher Catering Production Facility

Frankfurt am Main, May 6, 2026. Today, a new catering production facility operated by TAMAM (Taasiyot Mazon Matosim), an EL AL Group company, was inaugurated at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport. The facility is one of the most modern in the world and the largest of its kind in kosher in-flight catering.

The new facility spans approximately 14,000 square meters and was built with an investment of several hundred million shekels, making it almost twice the size of the previous facility. It features modern infrastructure that meets international standards and boasts a daily production capacity of approximately 50,000 meals – more than double that of the previous facility.

The site is equipped with innovative technical systems that enable precise control of preparation processes, strict quality controls, and the maintenance of a high culinary standard.

The establishment of the new facility is a significant strategic step for EL AL and part of the company's ongoing investments in infrastructure and enhancing the customer experience. The new site replaces a facility that had been in operation for several decades and offers both TAMAM and EL AL the opportunity to continue growing, expand their activities, and adapt to the evolving demands of the industry. The transition to full operation at the new facility is expected to occur gradually over the coming months.

The new facility is intended to expand the range of meals on EL AL flights, improve product quality, and contribute to a meticulous service experience for EL AL passengers.

Oz Radomsky, CEO of TAMAM, says: “The move to the new facility represents a significant step forward for TAMAM. It is one of the most modern facilities worldwide, combining state-of-the-art production technologies with the long-standing expertise of our employees. The facility will enable us to increase our production volume, improve operational efficiency, and continue to deliver products of the highest quality to our customers.”

Levy Halevy, CEO of EL AL, adds: “We continue to invest consistently and extensively in improving the flight experience, knowing that every single aspect of the customer journey is part of the overall experience. TAMAM's new facility allows us to elevate the culinary standard for EL AL passengers, expand our operational capabilities, and support EL AL's growth in the coming years.”

Kenny Rozenberg, majority shareholder of EL AL, adds: “The inauguration of the world's largest kosher food facility is a significant moment for us as an Israeli company and for all those who believe in EL AL's ability to continue to play a leading role. This investment reflects deep confidence in the company and its employees and reaffirms our commitment to further growth and development. The new facility will also enable us to supply the international market with kosher food of the highest standard.”
