Zurich, February 25, 2026. Starting June 2, Korean Air will deploy the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner on the Zurich–Seoul Incheon route, enhancing comfort and efficiency on one of its longest-standing European routes. The deployment marks the 50th anniversary of Korean Air’s service to Zurich, the airline’s second-oldest destination in Europe. Flights will be offered three times a week between March 31 and October 24, 2026.

Next-generation efficiency and sustainability
The Boeing 787-10 is the largest model in the Dreamliner family. With a wingspan of 68.3 meters, it is around five meters longer than the 787-9 and offers 15 percent more capacity for passengers and cargo. 

Thanks to its construction made of advanced carbon composite materials, the aircraft consumes over 20 percent less fuel and produces lower CO2 emissions than comparable aircraft. In addition, special “chevron nozzles” on the engine nacelles ensure a significant reduction in noise and thus a quieter cabin.

Korean Air’s Boeing 787-10 is equipped with a total of 325 seats, including 36 seats in Prestige Class and 289 seats in Economy Class.

A premium flight experience 
The Boeing 787-10 features the new Prestige Suites 2.0. These are fitted with high partition walls to offer passengers maximum privacy. The cabin interior is designed with elegant patterns inspired by jogakbo, the traditional Korean patchwork, creating a refined atmosphere. Each suite offers a seat that converts to a 180-degree flat bed with a length of 198 cm, a seat pitch of 117 cm and a width of 53 cm. For entertainment, passengers have access to 24-inch (61 cm) 4K monitors and seamless Bluetooth audio connectivity.

The Economy Class, with seats in a 3-3-3 configuration, has also been upgraded for greater comfort. It offers a seat pitch of 81 cm, a seat width of 44 cm and a recline of 120 degrees. Each seat is equipped with a 13-inch (33 cm) high-resolution 4K monitor. This is two inches larger than on previous models. In addition, each seat features individual USB-C ports. 

Furthermore, a Wi-Fi service will be available on the Zurich route, ensuring seamless connectivity throughout the entire journey.
