Korean Air Opens Prestige Lounge in Incheon with Ramyeon Library and Interactive Zones

Seoul, January 13, 2026. Korean Air unveiled its newly renovated Prestige East (Left) Lounge at Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport on January 13, ahead of its official opening on January 14.

Spanning 1,553 square meters, the lounge features 192 seats. Its spacious design is inspired by the refined comfort of luxurious hotel lounges. A buffet and live cooking stations, dining areas, a bar, and shower facilities are among the lounge's amenities. Dedicated workspaces further enhance comfort for business travelers.

New Experience Zones

The renovated area goes beyond traditional airport lounges, offering interactive facilities tailored to the diverse needs of passengers:

  • Ramyeon Library: Reflecting the global popularity of K-Food, this self-service station allows guests to customize their own instant noodles. Passengers can select their preferred noodles and toppings, then have them instantly prepared by automated machines.
  • Cooking Studio L'atelier: In collaboration with chefs from Grand Hyatt Incheon, this studio offers hands-on classes, such as making chocolate bark. Classes can be booked on-site.
  • Arcade Room: A dedicated entertainment area with photo booths, claw machines, air hockey, and car racing games, appealing especially to younger travelers and families.

By offering memorable, hands-on experiences in the lounge before departure, the new lounge significantly expands the airline's offerings for passengers. It is expected to be particularly popular with families with children and younger age groups.

Digital Service Enhancements

To ensure a seamless customer experience, Korean Air has integrated IT and data-driven services into lounge operations.

  • Lounge Reservation Service: Passengers using vouchers or miles can reserve a spot in advance via the Korean Air website or mobile app. First and Prestige Class passengers, as well as SkyTeam Elite Plus members, retain their priority access without needing to reserve.
  • Real-time Occupancy Monitoring: Using data from automated entrance gates, the airline's digital platforms display real-time lounge occupancy, allowing passengers to choose less crowded facilities.
  • Mobile Queue: An on-site system notifies passengers when seats become available during peak hours.

The reopening of the Prestige East (Left) Lounge on the fourth floor of Terminal 2, opposite Gate 253, is part of a broader infrastructure expansion at Incheon's Terminal 2 in preparation for the airline's full integration with Asiana Airlines. Korean Air completed the first phase of its lounge renovation project in August 2025 with the opening of a completely redesigned Miler Club and the Prestige East (Right) Lounge, as well as two Prestige Garden Lounges at the far ends of the terminal. The airline plans to complete the renovation of the First Class Lounge and the Prestige West Lounge by the first half of this year.

Upon completion of the projects, the total area of Korean Air's lounges in Terminal 2 will increase from 5,105 square meters to 12,270 square meters, an almost 2.5-fold increase. The total number of seats will also rise from 898 to 1,566, significantly improving the airline's service capacity and passenger comfort.
