Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts Present “The Devil’s Martini,” Inspired by “The Devil Wears Prada 2” Film
Frankfurt am Main/New York, April 30, 2026. | To celebrate the premiere of 20th Century Studios’ film “The Devil Wears Prada 2” in German cinemas on April 30 and in the U.S. on May 1, 2026, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is launching “The Devil’s Martini.” The trendy new cocktail was created by award-winning mixologist and beverage partner of the Waldorf Astoria New York, Jeff Bell. The cocktail is available for a limited time starting April 26 at all Waldorf Astoria hotels in the United States.
“The Devil Wears Prada 2,” partially filmed at the newly renovated Waldorf Astoria New York, once again places the hotel at the center of fashion and cultural discourse. In the latest trailer, the return of Peacock Alley, the heart of the hotel’s cocktail tradition, creates a striking visual moment, reaffirming its role as one of New York’s most iconic social gathering places. Long synonymous with style, power, and presence, Peacock Alley’s on-screen appearance underscores the Waldorf Astoria New York’s enduring connection to the world of fashion and storytelling, making the hotel a natural setting for a film that continues to shape both.
The martini has been a defining element of the brand for over a century and has long been synonymous with the tradition of elegant, social drinking. With “The Devil’s Martini,” Bell reinterprets this heritage, creating a timeless yet contemporary drink.
“The martini is one of the most iconic creations in cocktail history and holds real weight at the Waldorf Astoria,” said Jeff Bell. “With ‘The Devil’s Martini,’ we wanted to create something that honors that legacy while bringing in a perspective inspired by ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ – a drink that feels timeless but has just enough sass to be unforgettable.”
The cocktail features Grey Goose Vodka, another partner in “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” Sakura Vermouth, and hibiscus flower extract. It takes on a vibrant crimson hue – a subtle nod to the film’s sharp wit and imagery. Floral notes reflect the season, while the structure remains unmistakably that of a martini: clear, precise, and of quiet power.
As a final deliberate twist, the drink is garnished with a Wakamomo. This is a rare, pickled baby mountain peach variety from Japan, harvested in early spring while still green and small. It is often mistaken for an olive. The result is a visual trick that mirrors the classic olive while offering an unexpected, refined finish.
“The devil is in the details,” Bell added. “From the hue to the garnish, every element is deliberately chosen, much like the world the film so vividly captures.”
“The martini is a classic component of the Waldorf Astoria experience. With ‘The Devil’s Martini,’ we wanted to create something elegant, memorable, and a little mischievous,” said Dino Michael, Senior Vice President & Global Category Head Luxury Brands, Hilton. “Across all our Peacock Alley locations in North America, we saw this as a fun opportunity to create a moment to see and be seen – with the sophistication and attention to detail that only Waldorf Astoria can provide.”
The Devil’s Martini Recipe

- 90ml. Grey Goose Vodka

- Approx. 5ml. Hibiscus Flower Extract

- Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.

The collaboration extends beyond a single cocktail moment, bringing “The Devil Wears Prada 2” to Waldorf Astoria hotels across the U.S. in a more comprehensive way. From bespoke audiovisual creations and related in-room experiences to thoughtful details throughout the hotel, the activation invites guests to delve deeper into the film’s universe, while highlighting Waldorf Astoria’s role in one of the season’s most anticipated cultural events.
To celebrate the film, the Waldorf Astoria New York will also unveil the “Devilishly Chic Getaway”: a limited-time experience inspired by the glamour and cultural energy of “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” Designed as an immersive expression of the hotel’s long-standing connection to the fashion world and New York society, the offer combines a stay at the newly renovated hotel with curated extras. These include a welcome gift, a personal shopping excursion arranged by the concierge, and a food and beverage credit at Peacock Alley. Beyond New York, select Waldorf Astoria hotels worldwide will celebrate this moment with their own locally inspired activations, creating a broader brand presence. This reflects the film’s global cultural resonance at the Waldorf Astoria Osaka and the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam.
