EL AL Israel Airlines Resumes Passenger Transport from Israel
Following the authorities' announcement regarding the expansion of operations at Ben Gurion Airport, EL AL will resume transporting passengers on international flights from Israel starting Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 8 AM.
In accordance with the government-approved framework, the number of passengers on international flights will be limited to 70 per flight during this phase.
EL AL will proactively contact customers who are not residents of Israel, are currently in Israel, and whose return flights have been canceled. They will be assigned a seat on one of EL AL's repatriation flights serving 22 destinations at no additional cost.
Ticket sales for international flights will only commence after these passengers have been rebooked on an alternative flight.
Rebookings will be made according to the customers' original flight dates, similar to the current repatriation flights.
Furthermore, the company will publish a special form for the review of exceptional medical and humanitarian cases requesting departure from Israel on international flights, in accordance with the exception mechanism defined in the framework.
EL AL will continue to operate in accordance with the guidelines of the security and aviation authorities and will keep its customers informed of all developments.
Real-time updates are continuously available on the EL AL website and the company's social media accounts.
