Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton, welcomes guests
Frankfurt am Main/Nevşehir-Cappadocia, Turkey, June 3, 2026 | Hilton today announced the opening of Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton. The hotel is a unique new addition to the Curio Collection’s global portfolio, which is designed to provide guests with unforgettable moments in the world’s most sought-after destinations.
Nestled in one of the world’s most scenic regions, the property invites travelers to experience the region’s unique architecture and locally inspired design. The latter reflects the hotel’s history and makes the arrival itself the first experience.
Cappadocia was shaped over millions of years by volcanic activity and is known for its fairy chimneys and dwellings carved into the mountains, a tradition dating back to the Hittites. The hotel is located in Ortahisar, in the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage landscape, right next to Ortahisar Castle, one of the region’s most famous natural wonders. It thus places guests right in the midst of the cultural heritage and daily life of this destination.
The Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia has been carefully restored from centuries-old cave dwellings and combines the authenticity of its original setting with modern comforts. Nestled in a landscape shaped over millennia by both natural forces and human craftsmanship, the property preserves its original character. The restoration paid close attention to the site’s structure as well as the integrity of the stone, light, and atmosphere that define the cave environment. As Hilton’s first cave hotel, Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton, is distinguished by its distinctive architecture, open-air pathways, and village-like layout. It offers unforgettable stays that invite guests to forge a deeper connection with the culture, history, and spirit of Cappadocia.
Refined living comfort in the heart of historic rock caves
The hotel features 36 individually designed rooms and suites, each shaped by the original cave structures. Each room is unique in layout, natural light, and material selection and was handcrafted to preserve the authentic ambiance of the site. Local craftsmanship is evident throughout: stone, wood, ceramic, and textile elements are complemented by carefully selected antique details that bring the property’s unique history to life.
Accommodations include cave suites with private pools, rooms featuring traditional Turkish hammams, fireplaces, and whirlpools. Some suites feature a whirlpool on the terrace, while the villa offers an infinity pool with a glass front that creates a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Every area of the estate has been designed to offer special moments: whether it’s the private villa, the tranquil pool, or the event hall in the cave.
Exploring the stone paths, courtyards, and viewpoints of Ortahisar—with views of the Cappadocian valleys and the striking silhouette of Ortahisar—invites guests to enjoy a peaceful retreat or shared celebrations.
David Kelly, Senior Vice President, Continental Europe, Hilton, said: “For 70 years, Hilton has been welcoming guests throughout Turkey. With the opening of the ‘Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton,’ we are building on this commitment and reflecting the strong momentum driving our growth in the lifestyle segment. In Turkey, one in five hotels in our pipeline is a lifestyle hotel. Currently, 14 lifestyle hotels are in operation, with more in the pipeline. The Curio Collection allows us to offer a stay tailored to the location—brought to life here by the setting in Cappadocia, the cave-like architecture, and the locally inspired design. We look forward to introducing our guests to this extraordinary new hotel and opening the next chapter of Hilton’s growth in Turkey.”
Wellness Inspired by Nature The hotel’s wellness area and outdoor pool are designed as a tranquil and restorative environment. They are inspired by the region’s natural elements—a place where well-being is shaped by stone, light, and the silence of Cappadocia. It features two treatment rooms, a hammam, a steam room, a sauna, and a rain shower.
The solidity of the cave structure, the presence of water, and the silence inherent in the space contribute to a holistic experience. By reinterpreting traditional Turkish bathing culture within a cave setting, a balance is created between tradition and modern wellness expectations. This creates an experience of renewal that guests will remember long after their stay.
A contemporary take on Anatolian cuisine
The hotel is located in close proximity to several UNESCO World Heritage sites. These include the Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower, the historic medinas of Rabat and Salé, as well as newly opened cultural attractions such as the Grand Théâtre de Rabat. It is just a few minutes from Rabat-Salé International Airport and connected to Casablanca and Tangier via a high-speed rail link. Thus, the luxury hotel offers ideal access to the capital and beyond.
A more authentic view of Cappadocia
The hotel is located in Ortahisar, a town recognized as a “Cittaslow” city and considered one of the most authentic and atmospheric areas of Cappadocia. It offers a quieter, more down-to-earth glimpse into the region—in keeping with the Curio Collection by Hilton’s approach.
This collection focuses on destinations that are characterized by character and a genuine sense of place. It allows guests to go beyond mere sightseeing and experience curated moments that connect them with Cappadocia’s history, daily rhythm, craftsmanship, and vibrant cultural heritage.
Nilüfer Durukan, General Manager of Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton, comments: “We are delighted to welcome our guests to Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton—a unique hotel that tells a story all its own, deeply rooted in the spirit of Cappadocia.
