Korean Air now allows passengers in First Class to pre-order meals on flights departing from overseas
Seoul, June 1, 2026. Korean Air is expanding its meal pre-order service for First Class to long-haul flights departing from international destinations. This will further enhance the culinary experience on board.
The expanded service applies to flights from nine cities: Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Paris, London, and Frankfurt. Bookings are available starting June 1 for flights departing on or after June 22.
First Class passengers can select both their first and second meals via the Korean Air website or mobile app between 21 days and 24 hours before departure. The dining experience can be customized: passengers can choose from Korean, Western, or vegetarian main courses, as well as complementary appetizers and soups. Additionally, the pre-order system offers extra vegetarian options that are available exclusively through this channel.
Korean Air first introduced the meal pre-order service in January 2023 for Prestige Class and expanded it to First Class flights departing from Korea in October 2024. With this latest expansion, First Class passengers departing from major international airports can now enjoy the same flexibility and guaranteed meal selection.
“By expanding our pre-order service to international departures, we are offering First Class passengers an even more personalized and seamless dining experience on board,” said a Korean Air spokesperson. “This service enhances our passengers’ travel experience while highlighting the precision and quality behind Korean Air’s premium in-flight dining offerings.”
