Korean Air Receives 13 Awards at WTCE 2026

Seoul, April 20, 2026. Korean Air was honored with a total of 13 awards at three industry events during the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) 2026 in Hamburg.

Organized by RX (Reed Exhibitions Limited), WTCE is the world's largest trade fair for the onboard services industry. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the 2026 expo, held from April 14 to 16, brought together global airlines and catering specialists.

Recognition for Outstanding Onboard Services

On April 14, Korean Air secured four awards at the Onboard Hospitality Awards 2026. The awards, determined by industry leaders and a reader vote, recognized the airline in the following categories:

  • Best First Class Amenities (Korean Air Graff First Class Amenity Kit)
  • Best Onboard Apparel (Korean Air Frette First Class Loungewear)
  • Best Onboard Textiles (Korean Air Frette Inflight Bedding Set)
  • Best Service Equipment – Passengers (Tableware in collaboration with Bernardaud, Riedel, Christofle, and Armani Casa)

The airline also received five awards at the TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards. These results are based on passenger feedback and TravelPlus evaluations:

  • 5-Star “Global Passenger Choice” Award (Amenities)
  • First Class Amenity Kit (Men)
  • First Class Tableware
  • First Class Bedding
  • Children’s Souvenir (up to 6 years old)

On April 15, the airline received four awards at the 2026 PAX Readership Awards, hosted by PAX International. The awards for the Asia region included:

  • Best Customer Experience
  • Best Cabin Interior
  • Best First Class Amenity Kit
  • Best Business Class Bedding

Modernizing Service Offerings and Luxury Partnerships
These accolades follow a comprehensive renewal of Korean Air's onboard offerings, aligned with the airline's updated Corporate Identity (CI). The airline has emphasized high-quality collaborations to enhance the passenger experience:

  • Amenities: Korean Air is the first airline to partner with jewelry house Graff for its First Class amenity kits, which include premium skincare products and signature fragrances.
  • Bedding: First and Prestige Class passengers receive bedding developed in collaboration with Italian luxury brand Frette.
  • Tableware: First Class service features Bernardaud porcelain, Christofle cutlery, and Riedel glassware. Prestige Class service uses Armani/Casa tableware and glassware.

“These awards confirm the quality of our premium service on a global scale,” said a Korean Air representative. “We will continue to refine our service offerings to guarantee a first-class experience for our passengers.”
