Vietnam Airlines is moving to Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport

Frankfurt am Main, May 18, 2026. Starting May 19, 2026, Vietnam Airlines will relocate its flight operations at Frankfurt Airport to the newly opened Terminal 3. The next-generation terminal sets new standards in comfort, efficiency, and design, enhancing the travel experience for Vietnam Airlines passengers.

Frankfurt Airport’s new Terminal 3 is designed for an annual capacity of up to 19 million passengers and encompasses gate areas G, H, and J. Modern self-service kiosks and automated baggage drop-off systems ensure standardized ground handling and shorter processing times—for travelers, this means less waiting time and greater comfort even before departure.

The Vietnam Airlines check-in counters are located in Terminal 3, Zone 37. The counters open four to one hour before the scheduled departure time. Passengers arriving from Terminal 1 or the airport train stations can easily reach Terminal 3 via the SkyLine train—the trip takes about eight minutes. Alternatively, airport shuttle buses are available.

With daily nonstop flights to Hanoi and five weekly flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines offers the fastest and most reliable connection between Germany and Vietnam. Via Vietnam Airlines’ two hubs, travelers benefit from convenient connecting flights to many other destinations in Asia and Australia, including the densest route network in the Indochina region.

With the relocation of Vietnam Airlines, a member of the SkyTeam alliance, Terminal 3 is increasingly establishing itself as a central hub for SkyTeam airlines at Frankfurt Airport. Vietnam Airlines Business Class passengers, as well as frequent flyers with the appropriate Lotusmiles status or SkyTeam Elite Plus status, also enjoy access to the newly opened SkyTeam Lounge in Terminal 3.
